PowerPoint® is a useful tool that any trainer can apply to greatly enhance the effectiveness of his/her presentation. All that is necessary is a switch of paradigms from PowerPoint® as a talking-point crutch to an interactive showcase for content. The attendees will experience several techniques, including a musical transition, an interlude that sets up a segment for the speaker, a content review activity, subtle movement applications that bring slides to life, and a self-running game show. Most of these techniques are simple to create and do not require the skills of an experienced graphic designer or desktop publisher. After each techniques is demonstrated, the presenter will explain how it was created and provide the attendees with resources necessary so that they can apply the techniques to their own sessions. The speaker will provide step-by-step, simple-to-follow instructions and be available to assist attendees in the weeks following the session.
