Walt Disney was a creative genius, a master showman, and an amazing teacher. His inspiration was so powerful that, for years after his death, Disney team members would ask, “What would Disney do?”

One thing Disney did was educate people through entertainment. He once firmly proclaimed, “The normal gap between what is generally regarded as ‘entertainment’ and what is defined ‘educational’ represents an old and untenable viewpoint.” The entertainments the Disney organization created were both informative and enjoyable – unlike many training programs.

When entertainment and learning are aligned, as Disney would do, the result is magical; learners pay attention, they absorb information, and they change behavior. In this insightful and engaging presentation, Lenn Millbower, The Learnertainment® Trainer and former DIsney Training Leader, shares the ways in which Walt’s entertainment principles can be, and were, applied to actual learning challenges.
