Learnertainment® Lab - FAQ

Train the Trainer
Learnertainment® Lab - FAQ

Even if it is close to the date, I still sign up for a Train the Trainer Lab?

Yes! We prefer early registrations, but if you make a last minute decision to attend we will be glad to see you. Eve if you show up at the door!

What if payment won’t get to you before the Lab begins?

Bring a check with you.

How much is the registration fee?

At the door to investment cost is $779.00. The early registration investment is $579.00 for both days. We also offer a sizable discount for former attendees who want to hone their skills.

Why is the registration fee so reasonable?

Most open enrollment seminars are presented around the country. Lenn prefers to stay home. The reasonable price is Lenn’s way of offsetting your travel costs. Besides, you can extend your stay a day or two and take in some of the fantastic attractions Orlando has to offer.

When does the program finish?

We will conclude Day One no later than 4:40 PM and Day Two no later than 4:00 PM. We sometimes get out a bit early. It really depends on the size of the group and your individual needs.

What is included in the registration fee?

A comprehensive manual and other relevant course material are included in the registration fee.

What should I bring with me to class?

A comprehensive manual and other program materials are provided. Bring lunch money, you favorite pen and an open mind eager to try new Learnertainment® techniques.

What is the “recommended attire”?

Lenn cannot control the air conditioning. Although the Workshop will take place in sunny, warm Central Florida, hotel meeting rooms can be quite cool. We recommend layered, casual clothing. Dress for comfort. Wear something comfortable in a normal room-temperature environment but bring a sweater or jacket in case you get cold easily.

What is your refund policy?

If you’ve registered and can’t make it, send a substitute. If you must cancel, contact us at least ten business days in advance for a full refund. If you cannot give us notice, anyone you designate may use your registration to attend another Workshop within the next twelve months.

I wasn’t able to attend the program I paid the registration for. How do I register for another date?

Contact us to complete your registration.

Do you provide certificates of completion?

Yes! That’s why the registration form asks for an authorizing manager name. You will receive your certificate form your manager. That way, she/he will know that you have become a true Learnertainer®.

What if I have other questions?

Email Lenn and we’ll answer any questions you might have.

Do you offer a group discount?

Yes. Groups of three can attend for the price of two and groups of four can attend for the price of three. We prefer to conduct the Workshops as “open enrollment.” This allows learning professional form different groups and fields to share information with each other. Accordingly, we try to limit attendance by members of any one organization to six participants. If you would like a program tailored to your organization, you can bring Lenn to you for an on-site workshop tailored to your specific needs. Please follow this link to learn more about a customized Train-the-Trainer Lab.

What is the difference between the first and second day agendas?

The first day, Learnertainment® Design Methods, focuses on the creation of effective instruction. Although it is more appropriate for learning leaders and instructional designers, trainers, educators and speakers will find the instructional methods highly instructive. The will discover that every element of a learning program is a teachable moment and that advance planning and purposeful instruction will increase learner satisfaction and information retention.

Learnertainment® Delivery Techniques, the second day, breaks down into  non-technical language some of the specific entertainment techniques applicable to learning, including staging, presentation, and the use of props, comedy, magic and music to reach people emotionally. Although the focus is on delivery, learning leaders and instructional designers will discover many tips and techniques for developing effective learning programs.

What time does the program start?

Day One begins promptly at 8:30 M. Please arrive no later than 7:55 so you have time to sign in, get your materials, grab a cup of coffee or tea and settle in for a fun day of Learnertainment®. Day Two begins at 8:00 to provide a little extra time for those needing to catch flights home. But why would you want to rush home with Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios just down the road?

Do you provide lunch?

Lunch is “on your own.” That’s another way we keep your registration fee low. We provide beverages in the morning and mid-afternoon.
